Jean Janki Samaroo lives in Toronto with her husband and ragdoll kitten, Ali. She studied Library Arts at Ryerson University and is also a certified TESL/TEFL Instructor. Her first job as a teenager was in the Children's Department of a library. Most of her working life has been in public and university libraries.
She's always had a passion for writing and is happy to have the time now to pursue this. She celebrated her 70th Birthday in 2019 and both "Late Blooms: Inspiration for Seniors," and "Making New Friends" are projects she undertook to mark this milestone. "Making New Friends" is a delightful children's book for 2-5 year olds.
She thought that by Christmas of 2019 she would have had at least one book to give out as Christmas presents. Little did she realize the time and work involved before the final product would be ready.
It's with great joy and happiness that she's now able to share both books with the world.
P.S. Her 3rd book is an ebook called "Strong Women Make History" (March 2021) and is also available on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com It's a compilation of the voices of several women in celebration of the Biden/Harris Inauguration and International Women's Day. Having a female Vice-President in the U.S. was a historic occasion, especially for women. These women share what it meant to them to witness this.
