I suddenly realized that today is the 1st of December. My thoughts, of course, turned to the reality of the fact that Christmas is coming soon and the need for getting ready. No matter what faith or tradition we are raised in, everyone seems to get caught up in the Season — even if it’s just being present at an office or school party. Hoping for ham, hazelnuts, holidays, and hefty toys
Reason for rejoicing, Jesus’ birth
Interested in Santa, sleigh rides, sleigh bells, and skiing
Stars sparkling in the night sky, services at church, and Silent Night
Thankful for the turkey, tangelos, TV shows, tarts and teacake
Multicoloured Christmas lights and decorations, moonlight, and music
Advent, angels, arriving guests, heavenly aromas from the oven
Season’s Greetings, snowflakes, stockings, stable birth, swans a swimming
